My son killed an old man

Last day to hunt specs, my son killed an old,, old man. Banded in 2004 and was an adult when banded. No telling how old he was.

Surprisingly, for being that old, it was in pretty good shape. A lot of wear on the edges but the numbers were clearly visable.

Ok, I have to ask as I have no experience with ducks, but wouldn't that duck be tough eating as heck or are they different than chickens?

I have 30 plus snow, blue, rosses bands from nunavut, many same bander. Also prob that many collars, red,green,yellow,blue,white. I have two that where banded 21 yrs when l took them. So far, this consveration season only one, a 10 yr leg banded snow. An interesting note, over the last sev years, I've taken a yellow and red collared snow, both had been leg banded and collared, both banded over 15 yrs, and both had lost leg bands. Collars where very faded. For years no speck bands, seen sev this year. Congrats on your band.
