I did not hunt today and neither of the two properties I hunt most of the time was hunted today. I am kinda thinking I may have a little inflix of deer from surrounding land.
I plan to hunt the edge of a large ticket from dawn until about 9:30 or 10. Early in the morning, deer like to work along the edge and since my stand is at a corner, I can see two edges. Then, I plnd to hunt a stand that is deep in the the thicket, almost in the middle where four trails kinda converge. I'll hunt that until about noon.
If I have not killed anything by then, I am going to hit another little piece of land for my afternoon hunt. I am going to hunt where two major trails come in from head-high weed fields. It is a major chasing area and the colder it is, the better,
So, we'll just see what hoppenings. It is good to have land that has not been pressured. One of these places has been "resting" for over weeks. The last time I hunted it was first morning of mzl.
