Funny how things work out. This morning thanks to a nice gentleman from northern Minnesota I picked up from my FFL in Dickson a 1953 Remington 721 chambered in 30/06. This is the year my mother was born, as most know she passed in January. Tomorrow will be the 4 year anniversary of Dad's passing. After he passed I picked up a 1949 Remington 721 chambered in .270 and in Oct of 2020 I killed small buck and doe with it. He was born in 1949.
I got a wild hair a few weeks ago to set out to find one the birth year of mom. I thought how cool it would be to have Remington 721's the birth years of my parents. I was very fortunate to have some great parents. Lord knows especially when i was younger I caused a lot of pain for them. They always loved me and would tell anybody I was an angel. The Remington 721 was the predecessor to my beloved and favorite bolt action rifle .... the Remington 700
I will put a scope on her and take it to the woods this fall. @DaveB the 125 accubonds you gave me will be loaded over varget, should prove to be quite deadly in the woods. I am ready for deer season.
