I got my new rifle in today. I ordered it in June and the wait is finally over. It's a Tikka T3 Hunter Left Hand in 260 Rem. I was told only 3 were imported and I got one of them. The wood on it is nice, but I was hoping it would have better wood for the increased price I had to pay. Topped it off with a Zeiss Conquest 2.5-8x32. The rifle is well balanced and shoulders nicely. The bolt is slick as usual for a Tikka. I can't wait to shoot it this weekend. Here are some quick pics I took a little while ago.

Yeah. It didn't take long for it to get mounted on the rifle. They called me and told me it was in right when you left.
 
That's ugly, just go ahead and give it to me :) :) Ive been waiting for you to get it so I could see pics, very nice ! We all know a tikka is extremely accurate as well! They are by far my favorite rifles, I wouldnt ever part with mine!
 
JMO, I would have it glass bedded. The way the recoil lug is designed makes it susceptible to slight shifts. Also, pay attention to the tightening sequence and torque spec for the two action screws. It matters. I have T3 300WSM in a Bishop stock. It has been glass bedded with marine tex. It kicks like a mule but is very accurate and light enough to carry all day. You made a good choice.

Very nice-the Tikkas are known for accuracy and I bet this one wont disappoint. What is the twist? I have wanted a Tikka in 6.5 Swede for awhile-the Scandinavians know how to make a 6.5 barrel as that is 'their' caliber. Congrats. PH

The twist is 1:8.
 
Have some 125 gr NP and 129 gr Hornady IB loaded and ready to shoot tomorrow. I can't wait to hit the range and see what groups the best.
