The field dressing thread and the topic of waste got me thinking. I absolutely hate wasting anything on a wild animal. But turkey thighs hit the trash at my house . I've tried and tried to cook them . What hurts the most is all those pretty feathers going in a glad bag and into the trash. Ive always kept fans , spurs and beards but wanted to step it up. Sorry guys if it aint perfect but between these pretty wings and an oak pallet i had in the backyard i cant stop staring at this. It was a humbling feeling standing this up after me calling it done, i could hear this exact turkeys gobble and i can show you where his road ended. Come on spring ! .

Looks GREAT and I've tried to do one like yours but with what @fairchaser posted with the longer middle section. Needless to say it looked like it got put in a trash compactor and I ended up just using the normal stuff like fan, spurs and beard but I'm definitely going to give it another go next spring
