This plot is just under 1 acre, It sits in the middle of an 8 acre wooded lot that adjoins Ft. Campbell for about 1200 feet very near the NW corner of Ft. Campbell. It receives constant and brutal browse. I plant it every year with rye, turnips and more clover. I fertilize it twice a year, mow it 3 to 4 times a year and spray twice. It keeps me busy to say the least. On the worst day to hunt there will be constant deer present and turkeys are in and out constantly. The only thing in this plot that ever gets much over ankle high is grasses they wont eat. It produces a good number of deer every year and is a reliable place to take an old silent tom or 3 every spring. Even with acorns dropping like rain I can send a hunter here knowing there will be traffic.

I have only planted crimson. Some folks say deer dont really like crimson. Was thinking of trying something different next year but have had a lot of luck with Crimson growing.
