After hunting for 3 years now I've finally killed a buck that I will be getting mounted. I've killed some small bucks and some does over the past few years but nothing like this. My son and I were on some of my familys property Sunday after church clearing some trees that had fell and riding our four wheelers. Around 4 we decided we'd get in the blind we'd made and watch for deer that evening. We saw some does come out around 5:15 and then this big guy came in downwind of them with his nose in the air about 20 mins later. I waited til he stepped into my crosshairs then shot and he stumbled for a second then fell over. In and out double lung shot. This is the first deer I've killed when I had my son with me and him being there made the experience so much better. If you look close at him you can see the buck had an interesting injury that had broken his lower jaw and resulted in it healing crooked towards his right side.
