I buy all my bullets from this guy he is in Canada. He knows muzzleloaders, that is all he deals with. The site is prbullet.com. Check it out I think you will like the site. His prices are reasonable. The specific bullets I buy he guarantees to be within 1 gram of the weight ordered. I weighted some of them, all that I weighted are dead on or within .5 gram.

As far as him "knowing" MLs, you should read his opinions on 1-20 twist 45s. He is pretty far off the mark in regards to that twist and caliber. Ive seen far too many 1-22 twist or faster 45s that would shoot amazing groups at far more fps than he claims is the max. Knight and White even won many events with fast twist 45s. The current guys at Friendship are shooting some blazing fast loads in fast twist 45s and winning.

Always remember, Cecil is a salesman first and his opinions are motivated by profit. At one time he said Blackhorn209 should only be used with a 209 primer. "Thats why they call it Blackhorn209" was his response......That is until he made his most recent LRMP SS modules and plugs. There has never been any proof that a LRMP is more accurate than a 209 yet he boasts of this at length.

A buck a piece for a lead bullet...come on...you can buy Barnes, Lehigh or Cutting Edge bullets for that kind of cash. I think he makes some nice bullets but not for a buck each or more.

I am not sure about the 1-22 twist you refer to. As I do not own 1-22 or shoot competition.

I do know I was having problems with one of my mz. I called him, he ask a few questions, made a few recommendations. Problem solved.

As far as the dollar a bullet goes. I just ordered 4 dozen bullets from him for less than a buck each. I guess if you are shooting competition and are shooting 50 plus rounds at a time, his bullets may seem high. So maybe bulk bullets from Barnes or who ever maybe a better option for you. I however am a hunter. I buy what my gun likes and try to make ethical kills. Knock on wood, up until this point I have not dropped the hammer with these bullets that required any tracking, most deer lay down right there, others have all dropped in sight. This is very important to me as I hunt public ground almost exclusively, in some cases small chunks of public ground. The bullets are the cheapest part of the hunt. I am going to say 85 cents per bullet. Really 85 cents. Try going to walmart and buy quality bullets much cheaper than 85 cent each. To each is their own. I am not saying Cecil is not a salesman, we all are to some extent. He helped solve a problem for me and I Like his products. The expansion rate for the ones I buy is incredible. I thought others might like to try his bullets too.

Cecil claims a 45cal 1-20 can not accurately shoot a bullet over 1650fps and i know for sure that is not correct. Ive done it countless times and know of tons of others that have also...I cant imagine why he makes that claim. He goes on to say the best twist for a 45 is 1-28 to 1-30 twist. The real problem is not the twist but the MMP sabot he sells. While i do like many of the MMP sabots, the MMP 45x40 sabot is lackluster at best and its poor performance at higher velocity is well documented on Dougs board.

LEAD bullets for a buck a piece is high. His DCs and QTs are a swagged lead bullet with a tip added. I haven't seen anyone yet that can achieve the advertised BC with them. Ive shot a couple of his heavy 40cal offerings and they do shoot very well in 2 of my 45s. A Barnes 195gr though shoots almost as well but will retain nearly 100% of its weight no matter how fast you shoot it.

I dont have a problem spending money on bullets but lets face it, you can buy better bullets such as Barnes for a similar amount. The one exception is heavy 40cals. Nobody but PR offers 40cals over about 200-220grs. His 240gr-260gr 40cals are some pretty interesting bullets and they do drop less than any 40cal bullet ive tried yet in a sabot.
