Muzzle velocity

I'm shooting (for now) 100 grains of pyrodex pushing a 300 grain hornady sst. What do you think the muzzle velocity would be? I don't have access to a Krono when I go to the shooting range and I thought if I had the muzzle velocity I could do a little bit better calculations for my ranging. Someone had said that that should be going about 1700 ft./s which is what I'm basing my calculations off of now.

That would give me a maximum range of 152 yards, minimum yardage would be 12 if I was 2.44 inches high at 100 yards aiming at a 6 inch target circle, if my ballistic coefficient is .22.

100gr Pyrodex with a 300gr is closer to 1600fps.
Just an FYI on your link - your scope is most likely 1.5" above the bore rather than 1".
At 1600fps and a 100yd zero, you'll be 6" low at 150yds with right at 1000 ft-lbs of energy. (only 5" of drop if you were at 1700pfs)

Thank you, I hade made my calculation with scope at 1.5 inch high the link I shared defaulted back to 1'.

Good to know the FPS is a little lower it changed the calculation up a bit.
