Mtn bucks ??

Say if you were hunting in the national forest whith low deer numbers if you found some rubs and a scrape on top of a ridge. With the sign fresh and the rut not in full swing what do you think your odds would be you could see the buck crusing looking for does. Its hard to pattern these mtn bucks But there are two fingers that run down the ridge top with a good trail just below the ridge top.

Odds are better when you're out there during pre-rut. When the rut kicks in, they'll probably be in little to no pattern.

he may possibly bed on the ends of those fingers. i would probally hunt him before he ends up who knows where. we also got that bear season going on now. i still dont like that

Look for flats. Aint gotta be much of one.

Seem to always kill bucks above the sign.

More than likely he is making sign right now between food and his bed. Find out where he is bedding and set up there about 2.5 hours before daylight and stay all day.
