Is he still on TNDEER? I haven't seen him on here in awhile.

I saw on FB a pic of a giant buck he killed the other day, I wish he would post it here for everyone to see. That man has killed some super bucks for TN.

Haven't seen any pics or him on here this year. Had a guy tell me today that he talked to him the other day and he had killed another stud this past weekend.

I pretty much retired from deer hunting until I got trailcam pic of this deer a couple years back so i came out of semi retirement to hunt him and got fortunate that he showed up . Never had seen him til the day I killed him. Now back to retirement .....lol

Hoss Daddy. Don't know why you quit, but having deer genes like that close by would have me in the woods constantly.

Well after having 3 back surgeries over the years and 2 bad knees at 65 those once mounds of dirt called rolling hills have become mountains that takes a lot more effort than used too.I hunt 4 different farms with only one having flat river bottoms that are much easier to mangage. When I seriously hunt I spend days and long hours looking for what I call ghost. Most of the big deer I have killed I had never seen personally until the day I killed them. I am more or less hunting their signs that they leave indicating they are around, mostly night sign. With trail cams I sometimes will get a pic or two of a big deer but no guarantee he is not just passin through. I have pics of deer that I may have just one pic and that's it and never see them again. The 17 pointer had one pic on camera after season was over last year that told me he was still around . I had killed a 14 pointer that had pretty much same configuration and I thought that was him but must have been his brother...lol . I will still hunt lightly from time to time but it's lot tougher than used to be. I guess you could say "Used to don't live here anymore " .
 
I can feel it coming as well MRUTVOL. At 53, and having my back fractured twice as a young adult, the arthritis and pain from those old injuries are becoming more and more prevalent as I age. Ladder stands are taking the place of my skinny loc-ons more and more, and I can see more ground hunting in my future as well.
