Dove is some of Mrs. TAFKAP's favorite wild game, so she looks forward to early September nearly as much as I do. For the past few years, we've been experimenting with various new recipes and methods, and she's landed on her favorite method of frying (with panko), and dresses it up differently each time. Now that she's working on an online dietician profile (@balancednutrition901), the pictures are almost as good as the food. That's a homemade brioche that was quite delicious.

The dove recipe is Hank Shaw's, but he tends to Yankeefy just about everything he cooks, so feel free to modify as you see fit. https://honest-food.net/southern-to...vMdKSSU8QVq8E95v0qbov3FPZgFDnP8LxKc-MiDrzzE6w

I haven't gotten to dove hunt in a few years, but I always made sure I plucked a few every year to fry whole.

My mom would fry them and smother them in gravy. Messy as heck to eat but it was delicious.

I've got a few plucked out now, but in the interest of time, most of the 60+ birds I brought home got breasted out.
