I rember you posting about a Remington R-15 you had being a tack driver, I was wondering what was the favorite load? I got a R-15 last year and I am struggling to find a factory load this one likes so I got a set of dies to start rolling my own .223.

Just wondering what your advice on a starting place would be would be. Thanks

I used Varget and the Hornady 55 gr FMJBT the most for cheap to shoot accurate load,,it would shoot H3222 almost as good.

but it really shined with the 69 Sierra MK and 25 grs of Varget , as an accuracy target type load,

the 55 Hornady FMJBT shoots as well in my AR`s as any other 55 gr bullet,,and you can get them for less than 90$ a thousand,,

I shot several 10 shot groups with the R15 Varget and the 55FMJ that were under 1 inch at 100 yards,

I work nights so when I got off Friday morning I got some varget and picked up some 55gr NBT to load up for Coyote/Varmint worked up a couple different loads with them It seems to like 23gr. Varget.

It shot the best groups it has so far. I didn't measure exactly but it is sub-moa at 100 which is what I was after I'm gonna shoot a little more today.

with Varget and 55 gr bullets,,I think it would be near impossible to get too hot of a load,,most manuals list 27.5 grs as max,,but I cant get that much in there..
