This year I'm swamped with moving, have not mowed my plots which are waist high. Thinking about just letting it grow . Actually looks good with my apple trees
Tall food plots will give does a good place to hide fawns from predators. As long as you don't let them go to the point where weeds or undesireable trees start taking over.
