I have a beatiful stand of clover (really thick and about half way between my ankle and knee for height....) best looking clover I have ever had... I know I will need to mow it at some point... WHEN do I need to mow it for this coming fall?

Now would be good, but should not be mowed no more than 8" minimum height. Really, all you want to do is just clip the heads off.

Started mowing mine this past Saturday.

I would not mow it unless I had a problem I was trying to control (weed/grass competition). As RMBBQ mentioned, I definitely would not do it right now with this excessive heat. Unless I have problems with mine, I won't mow them until Labor Day.

we mow now and in aug also.....keep at 6 to 8" min. this allows the clover to have a cover and it thrives in the lower levels of even weeds if kept mowed. i dont like to let it get higher than knees then cut it again.
