I was honestly disappointed after I took this buck because of the circumstances on how I took him. I told my father-in-law that we should give him another year and shot him the next day smh lol. I was in the mountains and if any of you hunt that kind of terrain it's kinda tricky, I thought it was my target buck when I pulled the trigger! 3 days later I'm good with it!

No harm, no foul.... that deer would have probably only added 5 inches next year. Not all bucks can end up scoring 130 even when fully mature. Congrats on the buck!

Hey I'd be proud to take that one but I know what you mean about thinking it was another buck. I did a lot worse a couple of years ago. I was watching a small 6 point working around my big field sniffing the ground. My cousin was at work and I was texting him describing the buck saying that it had no need to fear me that day because I absolutely would not shoot it. It kept coming out in different areas of the field and i kept the texts going saying how I would never shoot it. Well, about an hour later here comes a doe with that same small 6 point chasing it and like a cat reacting to a ball of yarn I shot it. :) Couldn't help myself!

Congratulations on a nice buck!
