I brought my 22-250 VSSF with me to TN to work out the drop charts, fully expecting it to lose significant accuracy beyond 400 yards or so. Like I expected, groups at 200, 300, and 400 yards were all 1/2 MOA...

What I couldn't believe is that I shot 2 groups at 500 yards with the rig that were 2.5" each! And that was in enough wind to have to compensate 4 MOA (around 20" wind drift). I'm getting 8.5 MOA's drop at that distance, and I ran out of bullets to go beyond 500. But I loaded up 50 more rounds to bring back with me when I return next weekend. I've just gotta try this rig at 600 and 700 yards.

Mr. Big, (or anybody else out there) did you ever shoot your 204 Ruger at any significant distances?

Looking at the tables, looks like I'll be right at around 72" drop at 600 yards. That .238 BC is a killer :)

the 204 will shoot some tiny groups at 500,,I never went past that with it,,the BC of the 40 gr 20 cal bullets is right there with 60 gr 22 and it is faster,

if you get a constant wind it will do fine,,when the wind is changing is where the 6.5 and 30`s take advantage
