I found it interesting that mossberg has only produced two pistols in its 100 year old history (just something I did not know)Nothing spectacular, just another single stack polymer striker fired pistol in a sea of many.This one appears to be an attempt to compete with glock 43 considering that they are near identical .It accepts the 43 magazines,comes with dovetail sig sites,flat face trigger, front slide serrations and all for less than glock 43 .Will be interesting to see how it plays out over time.

I'd have to disagree. The ol Mossberg 500 is the AK47 of the shotgun world.

I agree, the 500 is like a piece of machinery. I really like the 835 too... for what it is. I also don't know if it's really fair, but the Mossberg 1500 was a great rifle... even though it was entirely manufactured by Howa

As long as it doesn't kick like an 835 it should be fine. Not sure which end of an 835 I'd rather be shot with.

What is it about that thing that makes it kick so much harder than all the other shotguns? Mine with 3-1/2" shells can cure scoliosis!

Most of it is in the recoil pad and stock geometry.

I have several Mossberg shotguns from 500 835,535, 930's, 9200 and five different Patriots and couple atr's and have had zero trouble and like them all. I hope to add a couple of these pistols as well
