Mossberg 535 help

I have a Mossberg 535 and was wanting to put an 18" barrel on it..will a mossberg 500 barrel fit on the 535?

I researched this topic a while back. The 18" barrel should work, but you'll be limited to 2 3/4' and 3" shells. Link below talks about it. https://thefiringline.com/forums/showth ... p?t=482407
