Mornings or evenings

When's everyone seeing there deer right now? There where 4 does in the yard(small field) beside the large parking lot today when I left work at 5:15 and also seen another in a field on the drive home. Can't hunt tomorrow morning due to son's football game but will be hitting some TVA close to home Saturday evening and next morning.

I'm sure you'll get a mixed bag on this one. I've been out hunting 2 mornings and 4 evenings so far this season. And in greater Nashville area I've been seeing deer in both mornings and evenings. I will say I've seen overall more movement and more deer in the evening though. My only kill so far this year was at 4:50 pm yesterday evening.

They're out morning and evening both. Problem I have with mornings right now is that most deer are focused on feeding and its hard to hunt food in the morning without blowing deer out on the way to stand. So I hunt evenings until bucks start getting frisky. Which should be any day now.

In October of last year I was mostly getting pictures of mature deer 8am to 12:00 then very late evenings

In regard to hunting early season, I prefer evenings more than mornings. It's easier to slip into the woods during the afternoon hours without jumping deer. Also, I tend to see more deer movement during what I call "Magic Hour", 30 minutes before official sunset to end of legal light 30 minutes after sunset.

I will hunt mornings on occasion during early season, but I usually wait to morning hunt beginning in muzzleloader season.

I don't hunt evenings early season, its too warm, I think its hard tracking at night, hard enough in daytime, and coyotes usually track better than me

100% agree.

Opposite for me, mornings you have 3-4 hrs cool weather they move, evenings about 15 minutes so you better set up really close to their bed, cooler weather changes that

Depends on hunting situation and access but can be very true.
