Yoknapatawpha county.
It was slow this morning till i took the chunk trailer off and just fished the fly. A couple I caught spit up little 3" long crawdads with orange tip pinchers. They were brown with some olive so got on the vise and put this together. It's about the right size and color so next time we'll see. Gonna tie some on 1/16 1/8 and 1/4 oz.

Nice!

You ever use the powder paint for the heads? Its SO easy, and gives a little more kick to your baits. I'd be tempted to go burnt red head if they are feeding on crawfish

Ive seen that stuff but if I paint the heads I use fingernail polish. I usta paint every one but I lose them so often I kinda quit.

Those jig heads , I'll pinch the right weight splitshot on the hook rather than molding them. I've got a football head mold but the splitshot thing is faster and easier.
