More accurate than expected

I picked up an old Glenfield (Marlin) Model 30 in 35REM and a few boxes of Hornady Leverevolution rounds. I topped the rifle with a Trijicon accupoint 1.25-4x20 scope. From a rest I'm getting Sub-MOA with no flyers. I didn't think that would even be possible with this rifle. My Tikka doesn't shoot that well with factory loads. I've got all of the stuff to reload with Hornady FTX bullets and Leverevolution powder, but I'm concerned that I won't be able to match the factory performance. Not that I really need too I guess. The stars seemed to have aligned with this combo, and it was gonna be my loaner rifle.
 
Sometimes things happen that way.

I'd still load some up. Why? Well, my memory of the last several years when the ammo shelves were empty and reload components had price tags in the stratosphere keeps reminding me to not trust the current situation very much. Obama is still prez.
 
I agree. I bought the Hornady rounds because they were almost as cheap and easier to find than brass. I'm making my own "once fired."

X1000 except Obama is not a threat. The real danger is the next election. It looks like a very real possibility that Hillary will get elected especially if Trump gets the Republican nomination. If Hillary gets elected, be afraid. Be very afraid. There is no telling what she will do with executive orders. I imagine there will be some supreme court involvement. Buy as much as you can possible afford before the election. I could easily see the shelves emptied the day after the election and AR's that are selling now for $600 going for $3000, 556 going for $2 to $3 a round, and powder if you can find it going for $50 a pound or more. I just hope the manufacturers are smart enough to stock up before the election. They will make a killing if they do. The profits after Sandy Hook will be nothing compared to the aftermath from Hurricane Hillary. Buy stock in gun manufacturers before the election and you could walk away rich from this.
