Does anyone have the 2018 Moon Guide? I was just wondering how it compares to the Fishing and Hunting Solunar Time app I have on my phone. The days in question are October 20th - November 4th. What days would be the best. Trying to figure out when to head to Ohio for a 5-7 day hunt. Going to try to wait and catch a cold front during that time frame. Thanks for any info.

I don't believe in the Moon Guide stuff, but from years of heading north, I'd go as late as I could in that time frame. The magic time for up that way is normally from Halloween through mid-November.

I don't have any experience with the moon guide. I am just curious how it lines up with the Hunting and Fishing app I have on my phone. I think cooler/cold weather is the key during that time frame. I went last year from Nov 4th- 10th. The weather was bad all week. Hot, heavy rain it is was terrible. Thats why I allowed a window this year from Oct 20 - Nov 4.

According to a add I just seen last weekend was the "red moon" and evidently a red moon means lots of 200" deer get killed.
Coincidence or not, Hayes will be selling quite a few of them now.

From my experience being in the woods the moon does play a part in when animals feed. If you watch the major feed times by the moon you will notice that the wood will come alive. This is especially at night. I'm sure you have to take in weather along with the major feed times.

I won't be buying one either way. I was just wondering how it lined up with my phone app. Will not plan my trip according to either. But if both my phone app and the moon guide and a cold front lined up during the same week, how could I go wrong. LOL....Have to see several 150s. I'm just bored waiting til the time gets good.
