We went 5 for 5 on deer. My son's age enabled him to get $100 off the general deer tag and also get a general elk tag. It pays to be young in some ways!

Yes it does, any money saved in MT is a huge deal. I cannot wait until my daughter is old enough to hunt there.

Dude, that's awesome. Can't wait to hear about it.

It was a spur of the moment thing because he decided to wait another year to draw WY antelope. I stumbled upon a ranch with a very reasonable trespass fee that is very close to a lot of public land. I thought I mentioned it at FCF, anyway I will fill you in next week. If things work out, I may have us a go to spot for MT deer.

lol, I think I consumed about 4000 calories that night.

I drive out there, its a DIY hunt so I need my truck. Plus there is no way I could fly all my gear out there at a reasonable cost...it would actually be cheaper to buy it once Im there!!

Plus I have to bring my wife back some Big Sky beer, so to keep her happy I must drive so I can bootleg the beer back!

Yeah, I can only imagine the luggage/money needed to fly that truckload of gear we had... lmao
