Last week I was on my annual whitetail and black bear hunt in eastern Maine(tagged big 5pt, dressed 155lbs) while this monster was hanging in my barn in Athens TN. You have to laugh a little or you'll cry.

This is all that I know so far. This buck was hit by a car or truck last week in Etowah. The wildlife guy gives my farm caretaker freshly hit deer from time to time, and this one wound up in my barn. He supposedly weighed 300lbs undressed. The rack is 8pts and looks oddly out or proportion with his frame.

I'll get more info later today as I just got back late last night. Here are two pics. Hopefully I'll get more today.

Shot one of those one buck limit deer that dressed 267 and I bet that one is every bit of 300 on the hoof. Lot of meat to cut up on that one

ok, Ill be the first and might be the only but that deer did not come from Tn. Just my opinion, and you know what they say about opinion's, they are like butt holes, everyone has one

That is definitely my barn and my friend Ray Harris in the pic, so it definitely came from TN. Etowah to be specific.

Which area of Maine? I used to live in Cutler.

I didn't hunt Cutler this year, but did drive through the area. I usually hunt West Lubec, Dennys, Moosehorn, and Cooper. I killed my buck this year at Cooper near Vining lake. We always stay at the Robinson's cabins on Dennys River. The elder Robinson killed a gorgeous very heavy racked 8-pt while we were there this year. That part of Maine doesn't hold a lot of deer these days but there are some real monsters there.

There are alot of farm fields in mcminn maybe hes just a big ol corn and soybean eater. Fatty for sure lol

I expected him to be foundered on corn, but apparently he was mainly full of acorns with only a small amt of corn in his stomach.

Wow! If that was a road kill, I'd love to see what it did to the vehicle. Probably totaled.
