After purchasing 59 acres right before season I was worried that the first year would be a scramble to figure the place out. Hanging stands in places that "looked good" and made bow hunting sense(whatever that means) we have had a decent season so far. With three main hunters myself, my son Tyler and Radar we each have killed a deer. Here is the latest one(Radar's). If the season ended today I would be satisfied knowing we have accomplished more than what I thought we would.

We will bow hunt this place except for kids and that hopefully will pay off in the weeks to come. I know next year will be an improvement.
 
I made a mistake on the button head . I'm a little embarrassed ,but it happens . :blush: Rich , you have a great tract of land . I have enjoyed sharing the hunting experience with you and the family .
It's hard work being a landowner ,but the rewards are worth the effort .

Your worrying more about it than I. It happens and that is part of hunting, we both know that. I am enjoying it and it has been fun, I know the best is coming. The bucks will be moving in weeks to come and I can't wait to see a buck hit the ground.

Oh yeah, get Radar a new hat. :D I'd offer him one of mine but they all have orange T's on them. :blush:

I know...but I am to the point I have to start somewhere this little 30 has 50 that joins it. The ownere she says she will sale in 5 years max...I am almost 100 % positive I can talk her into atleast leasing it if not just out right hunting it.
 
I'm surprised at the deer numbers we have seen so far in Perry county . You have a good tract of land , that will be even better in the future . It lays out good , with good habitat diversity .
