Missed one of three biggest bucks Ive ever seen in the wild about 11:15 this morning. Came in directly behind me about 50 yards. Had hime dead to rights but a big ol limb about 5 feet from my tree caught the bullet. Could not see it thru scope. Im absolutely sick.


Was a great morning other than that. Killed #6 for the year about 8am. A big ole doe, and the first deer with my new Savage 10 308.

Had three different groups of deer around me this morning. Hope I can redeem myself in the morning and punch my last buck tag.

Dang, sorry about that misfortune for sure! What's interesting is that 3 big bucks were traveling together this time of year, to me anyway. Has the rut came and went early in your part of the state, or has it just begun to get started?
