Interesting, but still missing the point. I think any study that goes so far as the particle size of cholesterol has lost its way. It's kind of like can't see the forest for the trees. My reason for this is that studies like this open the door for food processors to simply reconstitute their products. How long before we see healthy choice butter, "now with more large particle cholesterol shown to boost heart health?" The results will be the same, unhealthy junk.
Rather than try to get the nutritional guidelines right or keep them the same, let's do away with government nutritional guidelines. Or, let's have a one page, two line guide:
If it comes from a bag, box, bottle, or can, it's probably not good for you.
Your best food options are grow your own, buy it from the farmer's market, or shop only the exterior of the grocery store. Avoid the aisles.
