The Minox scopes are great scopes. Not many people know of them because they aren't sold in many box stores. I have 2 Minox ZA5 scopes. They are basically the same as the ZA3, they just have a 5x zoom instead of 3x zoom. The glass is from Schott, the same glass the Zeiss uses and is crystal clear. Optically, the Minox, IMO, has better contrast of darker colors in low light compared to the Conquest and the VX3. The reticles are also etched which is another plus. The ocular is the same size as Leupolds and if you have a bolt action rifle with a high bolt throw you will be ok. John Barness, a well known gun writer, also rated the Minox scopes an 8 on his resolution chart. The only scopes to score that high on his resolution chart are the alpha scopes from Swarovski, Zeiss, and Leica.

One thing that I had to do when I got my scopes is to tighten down the screws in the windage and elevation turrets. There was a little play with the adjustments. Once tightened the problem was solved. For the money, they are excellent scopes.

They retail for $399. Cameraland has Demo's for $289. I'd say $199 is a heck of a price. If you can get 2 for that price you got a great deal.
