Mini ruger

Any opions on the ruger mini14 223? Looks like a fun gun to shoot.

I owned 2 different ones years ago. Both were not very accurate and finding magazines that would feed reliably was hard. Get an AR-15 and avoid the Mini-14.

The minis are nice, reliable, fun rifles but are not known for accuracy. The newer versions are supposedly more accurate than the earlier ones. However like rdl65 said an AR15 is generally a lot more accurate with many available parts and cheap magazines. PH

Mine is great what my youngest daughter hunts with never had any problem with accuracy of course Im partial to ruger firearms.

I wouldn't buy a new Mini 14 at all. Like most Rugers they are a crap shoot whether you get a good one or not. Some Mini's are shooters so shoot before you buy or walk away. Factory Ruger mags are reliable but very expensive. Most aftermarket magazines, especially the Promags are total junk.

I have a older stainless one.. bought a bsquare mount for a scope that somehow mounted to the side plate of the gun.. NEVER would hold zero..finally took it off and shot it with the peep sights.. I like my dpms AR 10 times better..
