I planted some last week with my sunflowers. Any time soon would be fine I would think. If I'm not mistaken it takes like 100 days to mature.

Thats literally all this old man would plant for deer on a large farm I hunt that is next to one of my places. There the deer would use it heavily but not until Winter when cold weather got started, usually late in season. That was the only option those deer had though, very mature hardwoods around and the only clearing had milo in them on 1300 acres. He planted Mid-May.

The farmer is planting it in a river bottom on a farm that I hunt. Is there anything that i can plant with it for deer? I was wondering if red clover or another clover variety might grow and be shaded some by the milo. I was thinking about overseeding an acre in the corner of the field where i have a stand.
