I fired up the pot with some pure lead and cast about 175 of these pills. The powder coat is making it hard to put the gas checks on. I also have the non-gas check version of this mold and may just use it instead. Going to be used in a 3 inch Model 60 with adjustable sights.

That's a fine looking bullet. Have you tried them at higher velocity, to see how they expand? I would imagine they would be expanding too fast at higher velocity. Being pure lead, that's pretty soft.

This is the first time to use this mold. I want .38 velocities. I cast a bunch with the flat base version of this mold and they turned out GREAT!

Have you ever loaded any in Magnum brass? Just wondered what o.a.l. length is. I know sometimes that bullet will seat pretty long in Magnum brass.

Never loaded them in magnum brass but it is well known the nose of this bullet is too long for most .357 cylinders unless loaded in .38 brass. Intended use is .38 at 900 FPS.
