Lots of bream and good ones, too. Nothing unusual.

Lots of bass, mostly small. Nothing unusual.

Lots of them dang striped things. Nothing new there.

But a soft shell on a Gitzit and stuck in the flipper, too. Now that is unusual.

I hate those as much as you hate those striped things... get those ugly snouted soft shell pigs away from my lines :D

Wasn't crappie fishing and what made this odd is she was hooked in the flipper, not the mouth. Pretty good eating if you want to go to the trouble to clean one. In fact, I like them a lot, just don't want to spend two hours cleaning them.

Probably should have just shot this thing and been done with it. For once, they are not in my backyard.

that's a pretty pic of a bird that should be taking a nap in the dirt....

soft shell turtles smell too bad for me to want to try cleaning and eating one. I don't even care to go through the purging process for a snapping turtle not to mention a foul smelling soft shelled flipper thing...
