Hey guys,
We just moved up to Columbia from AL this summer and I'm looking for a GOOD bow shop. I'm pretty picky about my bow stuff and have struggled finding someone that really knows what they are doing. Yall have any recommendations within an hour drive of Columbia?

Archery den . Franklin ,TN
Lots of bow stuff and that's all he does and a nice guy .

Taylor's Archery in tullahoma, tn but that might be about 1 1/2 hr from Columbia . Real nice people there as well .
 
I bought my last two bows from a gentleman that is no longer in business.

However, I have had very good service on them since then from the guys at the Archery Den in Franklin. I was down there on Friday, and left very appreciative of their service. I'll be back down there for future needs.
 
I've heard enough miked reviews about Archery den I would be scared to go.

The guys at Dickson Sportsman store do a great job and is not far from Columbia . Maybe about 45 min

i have never been ignored for as long as I was when I went in there several years ago. I never went back. I had a similar experience at Steves in Columbia. Went in there wearing work uniform I guess it was assumed I had no money to spend

Yea, I have had negative experiences at about 90% of the bow shops I have visited through the years. I'm about ready to invest in a bow press and learn to work on my own gear :)

The above negative reasons are exactly the reasons why I have a full shop in my garage. We do not have a archery shop that is worth three darns without driving at least 1 hour outside of Nashville, plus even the best archery shop will not spend the time to tune you and the bow to its absolute best.

You should do it because it is the best thing to have and to know how to do it you're serious about your archery auction.

I had a similar experience to this a couple years back with them but was there the other day and they had 3 guys working instead of 1. He twisted my string to align my peep site and didn't charge me any $. Maybe they got a few complaints and hired more help.
 
The archery Dennis the only "bow" shop I have ever been in. For the guys saying they prolly didn't look uppity enough. The first time I went in there I was nasty and muddy and they treated me great! That's why I went back.. I was in there 3-4 times before I ever bought a bow... They were very nice and helpful...
 
I take my bow to Taylor's Archery in Tullahoma. They are very good at what they do. They will also work with you until your bow is set up correctly. Very good shop in my opinion.
 
I'm going to need a new string before season is out so I may give Dickson a look. Thanks for all the feedback.

If you need strings, we are lucky to have one of the best in the business right here in Mid-TN--EnergyWave Bowstrings.

I use Murfreesboro Outdoors for everything. Sam is awesome and a great guy.

I live in Mt. Juliet, tn. Nobody touches my bow unless it's Eric Hoffman! He's cheaper than the big sporting goods stores and more knowlgedable. He's over off of Saundersville Ferry Rd. The only negative is the last time i was in there he did not have a chronograph yet. 330-413-3243.
 
Music City Archery is moving to Franklin, TN. Their grand opening should be any day now. They are incredibly knowledgeable and technical in their approach. I'm really excited to have them in town. The owners are really great. They have an awesome range as well.

Not to derail and I'm not a bow hunter, but anyone remember the bow shop at the old Huntsville Wylie's? Been closed for +10 years or since Gander Mountain opened in the area. It seemed like one whole long wall was nothing but bows and bow stuff plus they had a range off the side. The Decatur Wylie's is nothing more than a yuppie clothing store; a mere shadow of what Wylie's used to be. I wonder if they are even still in business.
