Not much action in the woods this morning until this one came flying by after a doe. I got him in my scope at 50 yards and couldn't get him to stop until he was at 10 yards. I was making all kinds of noises and finally just yelled at him. He dropped about 40 yards away. This old fighter had scars all over him and was missing an eyeball. He weighed right at 200 lbs. We actually had this buck on camera the year before, but not this year. Not sure where he was hiding out.

I also meant to tell about the entry wound. I've never had this happen before, but I'm fairly certain I hit a sapling first which expanded the bullet before entry. The entry wound was a 2 inch wide whole, no exit wound. From 10 yards it shouldn't have looked that way. As he ran off, I could see the spray of blood from the entry wound right away.

Had the eye left out of the 11 point I got last year. Taxidermist said that was the 1st request he had to leave it out. I want them just like I get them.
