Me and my cousin Phillip White competed in the mid tenn predator hunt this weekend. It was ours to win but we choked and missed our first 3 dogs Saturday morning. I'm not sure why we struggled so bad but that's just part of it. Once we settled down we killed 5 dogs which was good enough for 6th place out of 149 teams. The first place team killed 7 dogs.

Wow! Never knew such a thing existed. You guys did great!

What's the grey thing in their mouths?
Bite blocks that you put in their mouths after the kill to show your not checking in old dogs

About how many stands did you guys make and about how many acres would you guess you hunted/called during the weekend competition period?

Probably around 25 sets over the 2 days. We called in 12 dogs and 1 cat. We usually kill most of the dogs we call in but this past weekend humbled us.

Congrats! Now about that truck...is it one of a kind or are there others like it? I've seen it in either Murfreesboro, Smyrna, or franklin.
That belongs to one of the guys from the woodsviking barber shop in murfreesboro. They are the ones who put this tournament together. They have 2 trucks that look like that a grey one and a black one.

I was amazed with the amount of predators killed with the temps being in the 70s

Well you guys did great. 13 predators called in 25 sets is pretty dang good success rate! Especially with the temps. Quite impressive, and I don't think that's too far from the norm for you. You definately have a lot of places to hunt, and you must whistle a sweet tune! ;)

There was a time when me and a buddy chased yotes hard and with a lot of farmland access in NWTN. We did ok, but nowhere near 50% success. Our success rate was closer to 15%, honestly. I'm counting anything coming to the call as a success. Time has been more limited in recent years, but i hope to get back after them again.
