What a wonderful time of year that is upon us. Tomorrow we celebrate Christmas, we will gather with our loved ones and give presents to one another, sing songs, and enjoy the fellowship of our dearest companions. We will relax, for the most part lol, and feast over a wonderful meal. Christmas is a great tradition, that for most is an incredibly special time of year full of kinship and giving. These are excellent things except I can't help but notice the lack of the true meaning of Christmas these days...so what is Christmas? It is the recognition of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Christmas had a very deep and meaningful purpose when the tradition was first conceived. It was a beautiful symbol that expressed the reality of what had taken place. That reality was GRACE!!! That grace was Given to us by our Heavenly Father in the form of a baby, who also was God, and whom would grow into the man that would die on our behalf because He loved us so much. God sent His only begotten Son as a sacrifice for us even though we didn't deserve it. That is why we share presents with our loved ones on this morrow. As a symbol, a recognition of the greatest gift that was given to all mankind by our Heavenly Father. As we gather around the tree tomorrow morning with our families let us take a moment to reflect on why we are giving out presents. Let us reflect on the person of Jesus Christ "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a savior, which is Christ the Lord." Take a moment to share the gospel and in doing so you will have given the best gift possible!
Wishing all my TNdeer family a Merry Christmas.
