Got my smoker loaded up on the trailer, ready to head down to the Memphis in May World Championship contest. First appearance down there for my new Backwoods G2 Party.

Right on. Have fun. I'll have to drop in on it next Friday so I don't break my 25 year streak. I haven't been on my team in a couple years.


It's held at Tiger Lane now. Memphis in May got kicked off the Tom Lee Riverside Park, and the morons that run the parks made up their own fake BBQ festival.

I've walked 70 laps around it since Wednesday, figured I would have seen you but haven't yet. What booth number? I'll be back for the day shift tomorrow.

We finished 27, which is around mid-pack, but far better than our finishes in previous years. Got to know the smoker so I'm getting better at it.
