Any body have any recommendations on a good smith in the memphis area? To do some action to barrel fitting and bedding work.

There is not a "good" smith for barrel fitting in Memphis.
I`d suggest you go to 6BR.com and click the Gunsmith tab and select someone from the list.
TM Stockworks does exceptional bedding.
Have the metalwork sent to him from the smith.

The smith in Cordova (Dowdle) is booked until after the 1st of the year. Call Brighton arms in Brighton. Bit of a drive, but they have done me well.

Phil at Guns and Ammo is top notch. He has bedded several of my rifles and built one of my rifles. I have been dealing with him since he was working out of his home many years ago. I have nothing but good things to say about him and his work.
Frank at "Mac Guns" in Humblot Tn, he is the very best within 300 miles
