meat slicer

So after my first jerky attempt I have decided to buy a meat slicer. It wasn't bad, but I want them thinner and more consistently sliced. Looking online you can spend $50 to $700. What are you looking for when looking at them? Blade size? Motor wattage? what?

I bought this one off amazon back in 2011. To date i have cut up 15 deer with it and it hasnt given me any issues what so ever.I slice my jerky with it when the roasts are partially frozen and it slices right through it and slices it as thin as i want it.

If you have the space for it, find a used restaurant supply store and buy the best one you can afford.

i have exactly the same one. my wife bought it at kohl's on black friday for 35.00 bucks. it works pretty well
