I killed a deer this morning that my neighbor shot yesterday(The shot was above the spine)
He was limping and had that fresh wound so I put him out of his misery. I've heard that stress can change the taste of the meat. Any experience with that? This is the first one I'm going to process myself.

Just seen your post I done the same thing shot a very little 8 point Thanksgiving morning with a above spine shot and brisket shot from looks took be day before he was hurt bad I put him out of his misery as well but the jerky is great 👍
