Anyone here caught one before. Are the smallies and spots crossing in the wild or are these just lab rats. I didn't even know about them till yesterday. Cool looking fish for sure though

I have caught a couple out of Watts Bar. Both were only around 10 inches.

Been wearing them out on Pickwick on Rage Craws and 3/4 oz spinnerbaits at night. Suckers fight like the devil. Have a mouth like a smallmouth or a drum, but the bodies of a largemouth and fight harder than a smallie. Several in the 3 lb range. Fun fo sho!

that is what I heard they fight pretty well.
