Mcree Precision stocks

Great stocks from what I've read. Currently I'm stuck on either a Manners T4 or an XLR chassis system for my RUM. What I like about a chassis system is you don't have to bed it and it comes with a DBM setup already. With a manners or mcmillan you have to get it bedded and buy a DBM system to run mags. Also if you want an adjustable stock then just the stock will run 700 to 900 dollars. Then a DBM setup is 250 to 400 dollars your choice of manufacturer. Then a bedding job 150 to 250 dollars. So then you will have 1000 dollars in a stock vs. 700 to 800 dollars for a Mcrees or an XLR and all you have to do is drop in the barreled action.

If my 700 5R .308 with NF NXS 5.5x22x50 don't sell soon I'll be putting it in a McRee folder and keeping it

i bought it for my remington 700 varmint sps 308.

stock will be here next week and my rifle is in pieces at two different shops. action and barrel is at one place getting cut and crowned and fluted and bolt is at az precision getting new knob. lol

No experience here either but everything that I've read is absolutely positive. All the forums that have any info on them have great reports.

Az precision is doing the bolt.

Gunsmith in Crossville is doing the barrel work. i hear good things about them plus they arfe reasonable.

was just gonna do cut and crown but he mentioned flutes and my ears perked up.

That'll cut some weight off the rifle. Who's the smith in Crossville? Theres a guy in Taft, Howard Pitts of Pitts Precision Rifles. He does great work and is affordable also. But my Remmy may be going to wnroscoe at LA Precision rifles for the trueing and blueprinting. I hear he is crazily OCD when it comes to doing the actions.

Crossvile pawn and gun. Fastbs turned me on to them.

I ordered 2 mags today. 1 five round and one 10 plus the pad/saddle for the stock.

nice to buy an American made product!!! Talked to Mrs Mcree. Really nice lady!! I even got a ups notice that is is ready for shipment!!! top notch service!!! If you need mage let them know!! theirs work for a bunch of different setups!!

i just found a pic of one in multicam!! wow I am excited!!

anyone wants to shoot it let me know. once I get all the pieces rounded up lol we will try her out!!

I'm bout to set up a 1000 yard range...may be able to get 1200 when I get all my targets built. I got some AR500 steel for the plates and I am about to start fabbing up the stands out of 2" square tubing. When I get it built...come on down.
