Max range

How do you know max range?
I have the Parker bushwacker crossbow. Accurate to 50 yards but large drop. Does it have enough to ethically take a deer at that range?

My xbow shoots 365 fps and I won't take a shot over 40 yrds. Just my opinion though.

My cut off is 40yds MAXXX...And for me to take a 40yd shot on a deer it has to be perfect.

Im not comfortable past 30 yds. It would have to be wide open shot in a food plot or something to take a 40 yd shot. Criag Morgan shot one at 96 yds on t.v .lol

Saw a hunt on.TN Wildside. Guy was shooting the big 225 Excaliber at a 6 ptr at about 40 yards. Slow motion showed the bolt almost going over the deers back. It had turned to run at the sound of the shot and its belly was almost on the ground by the time the bolt got there. Them deer are quick. 30 yard max for me.

35 is maxx for me not cause of accuracy i can wrap 2 fingers around 3 bolts
with broadheads at 42 yards ive had deer duck a 350 fps crossbow at 22 yards.

50 or 60 yards in a field but probably about 30 to 40 from my stands in the hard woods right now.

I took a nice deer at 43 yards give or take.

I will take a 50 yd shot if it was an open one with my exomax. Need to allow for deer drop as with any given bow or crossbow.

I reckon that a hunters choice on how fer to shoot at game. My area allows me to shoot about 35 yds on some stands on my land. Others i can't see the deer at 30 yds.
