Massey Ferguson 245 ???

Fellas,

My buddy just rehabbed a Ferguson and in passing he said he thought it was model 25 but had a gas engine. I am thinking it is actually a 245 with the Continental engine. 45 horsepower and 4x2 chassis from what I read about it. Anyone have any working knowledge of this tractor??? I got rocky ridge property in addition to flat bottoms that I will be trying to tear into for some plots and don't want to buy a dog that can't hunt so to speak!

A gas engine tractor would worry me,might be wrong

hire someone with big enough equipment to to the job , i think you would come out in long run ...

I think the 200 series tractors are alot newer the the 25 series
a 25 series would be 40-50 years old
a 245 would have came out in the late 70's or early 80's

we have a 245 but it is diesel, it has been a good tractor with no problems.

it's only $1500 as he and his dad are wrenches and find non working vehicles and turn them. I figured for the price I might take a look.
