killed a doe Saturday with the 336 30-30 and I have no ideal why I ever put it up?? 125 yards slightly quartering to me through the shoulder and out the liver ran 40 yards and dead. used the lever evolution ammo and I like it, the ole 270 may get a break more often, It sure brought back a lot of good memories carrying the ole lever 30-30 again. that is all carry on :grin:

Kills pretty well doesnt it? I've got a safe full of rifles but find myself grabbing a 30/30 a lot. Nice job!!

I like the 336 a LOT more than the Win 94 (which I own). I have never killed a deer with my .30-30 Win 94, but I killed quite a few with my 45/70 1895 (basically a beefed up 336).

Killed one Saturday with my '72 336 in 35Rem using 200gr Hornady LE's. Dead before it could hit the ground. Cant think of a better woods gun.

My .35 336 is my afternoon/evening gun. Don't believe in scopes, but the more open Marlin sights give me maybe 15-20 more good minutes of hunting in the afternoon/evening than my beloved Krag sporter.
