In honor of redblood finally coming back to post, I would like to talk about Choir boy Mariotta and hear why he is the only 1st round pick to not sign his contract. Is he holding out for a trade to Seattle?

I don't know why he would go to Seattle? They would be crazy to not sign Wilson to a long term deal after the 2015 season, but the chip Kelly rumours are popping up again.

If the titans keep him or trade him for a few good defensive players and a first round pick next season I think they improve both ways, but I don't think the titans will trade mariotta.

Well I suppose that he hadn't got the contract he was looking for. Why does it matter- he hasn't broken any law, missed a single day of practice ad has a full 5 weeks until training camp to get a deal done. As far as the seattle trade....uhhh ok

I haven't went anywhere baddnole. I have posted on the NBA, strength of schedule threads, training camp threads and etc. I have also posted daily in the general and huting forums- but you wouldn't know about any of those. I am just not a one trick pony, or troll, like you

Troll? You just don't realize how that hurt.

I see no reason why they wouldn't like him. Don't know much about the Titans, curious why he hasn't signed.

offset language, sounds like the money has been agreed on. by all reports, he will be signed well in advance of July 30 training camp

Mariota is the only unsigned 2015 first-round draft pick and no agreement appears imminent. While that can easily change in the roughly five weeks remaining before the Titans open camp on July 30, the thought of Mariota not being under contract by then isn't appealing for either party. Mariota is pegged to start for the Titans and like all rookies, especially quarterbacks, can use a full camp to best prepare for such a daunting task. The Titans have precedent of demanding offset language in their contracts and also can point to the player selected before Mariota in the 2015 draft. Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston has offset language in his four-year, $23.5 million contract.Teams insist on offset language with first-rounders and their guaranteed contracts so they can't "double dip" in the event of their release. As in, collect their originally-scheduled salary as well as extra money from their new club.

This will get done before camp starts. Bet that

no doubt. Mariota can be patient, he knows he wont get in trouble before the deadline is up.

I am sure some behind the scenes stuff going on that BadNole doesn't know about. Ease up on him all he is doing is defending Winston.
