Looking for a Good Margarita recipe. Nothing super strong but a good/great taste. Planning on using 1800 silver tequila.
Why dirty a glass???Tequila in a shot glass. Nuff said.
Excellent point. I stand with your decisionWhy dirty a glass???
We just made this recipe. It's the best margarita I've ever drank. Thanks! So much better than the heartburn inducing triple sec!Sammy Hagar's recipe is probably my favorite.
Juice of one lime
Juice of half a small orange
1/4 ounce agave syrup
1 ounce orange liquor
1.5 ounces tequila or mezcal
Shake with ice for about 20 seconds.
I like it with mezcal. But it's definitely not the most popular flavor. And the amounts are changeable based on your tastes.
Chambord is an excellent addition to margaritas AND Old Fashioneds. I highly recommend using it in both for a nice riff on the originals. Simple blackberry syrup works too.Only way I've ever made them is using Cointreau's recipe:
Ingredients:
1 oz Cointreau
2 oz Blanco Tequila
1 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
Edit: I have been known to add 1oz Chambord at times
- Step 1/5
Make a salt rim on your glass.- Step 2/5
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.- Step 3/5
Shake vigorously until well chilled.- Step 4/5
Strain into a Margarita glass.- Step 5/5
Garnish with a lime wheel.
Yeah I agree with you.Chambord is an excellent addition to margaritas AND Old Fashioneds. I highly recommend using it in both for a nice riff on the originals. Simple blackberry syrup works too.
