I guess it was my lucky day today. Had some time off and even got photobucket to work lol Ive been wanting to figure out how to do maps like this for awhile, just didnt set down and try until today. This is my new 55 acres I bought in Morgan County. Alittle more urban than I like but I couldnt pass it up because it will pay for itself and then some in timber. Plus this area has so many more deer than my home, its like shooting fish in a barrel compared to home. To the north and east, the light green clear looking areas are now 8-12 foot pines, theres alittle over 1000 acres of it. The highway looking thing sweeping down the north and going east is the Southern Railroad. Across the road is 300 acres of hardwoods. There are 2 or 3 houses around, which I dont like. Im just not used to seeing houses in the same square mile ashunting land but heck if it dont work out Ill make 50K profit cutting timber and flipping it at least so I dont care lol

Nice map!

Right away, the biggest problem I see is the open ground to the north east (if that's the part in pines, it won't be a problem, it'll be even better for you)

Reason I say that, is it'll be far too easy for the neighbor to pick off the deer crossing the open ground moving from block of woods to block of woods. At least that's where I'd hunt :)

Yea thats what is now pines, every bit of the light green to the north and east. Very thick, at least for another decade maybe. Also to the immediate east, between my east line and the rr tracks is a nasty new clearcut.
