All my stuff ready to go last night. Alarm set and I go to bed. Phone updates overnight and I woke up at 10 am. I don't get to hunt more than 1 early morning so I was looking forward to hearing em gobble on the roost. Who went this morning, and were they talking?

I never do, but once in a while... I dont get enough sleep between working and hunting

cat, that's when you make yourself a nice big breakfast and a big pot of coffee and just enjoy a relaxing Saturday.

I went to bed at midnight last night and didn't set my alarm. I didn't open my eyes until 9:45am. I like to think that's my body telling me I was tired and needed the rest. Either that, or I'm just lazy. [emoji3]

I was PO'd and sat down with a bowl of cold cereal. I'm about to put a turkey breast on the Weber with some smoke, might need that coffee too. It is nice to catch up every now and again, just not during turkey season

I over slept this morning too. Got in at daylight very quiet. Heard only one bird several ridges away. Cheat ham County.

You didn't miss much. A few gobbles on the limb where I was at and then quiet...as quiet as its been all week. I think we're smack dab in the middle of the "turkey rut." There's a whole lotta breeding going on right now.

Never heard a bird till
9:15. I got him to answer my Mistress. Got him to gobble 5 times as he went away.
This place has a ton of birds on it and that's all I've heard.
I'm still sitting here like a big dummy cold and hungry and holding on for dear life not to blow off this ridge just hoping one will fire up and I can coax him in. If it wasn't so long in between Saturday's I probably would have went home earlier.
Took a short nap in the sunshine. I've moved locations in here but think I'll go back to where I heard him before I leave. He was on someone else's land he's gotta come to me I can't get any closer .

We doubled up this morning. Not much gobbling besides on roost. Shot one right off roost after he bred 2 hens. Then called one in for my buddy around 10. His hen he was with caused him to get killed. She couldn't resist me mocking her.

2 longbeards came into the back field while I was working on some turkey stock and smoked turkey breast. Debating whether to try and kill one. Would rather them leave the field so I an try to call them up, not easy to sneak back to them, it's pretty open

It was windy, cold, and I was hunting a new place for the first time. Heard one bird gobble, and he was with a slew of hens. But we found a calm spot in a pretty valley with an old homestead by a creek and the whole flock came right in. Awesome hunt.

Like most others, I didn't hear a single gobble this morning. I did call one in that was silent and strutting. Back home with him by 8.

Heard two gobbles on opposite hills, I was down in the valley below. Thought I had it made and they would swoop down to me to get out of the wind. Apparently they were taken by aliens and disappeared.

Hunted from 130 to 430 this afternoon and 0 gobbles, saw a couple bird here and there, nothing to show for it. Bad day with good weather I guess

Had a gobbler at 80 yards right off the roost.

He meandered off a bit. I then walked away calling hoping to drag him within range of dad. He was going nuts as I was calling, and appeared to be coming. He even goobled a couple of times on his own. I kept expecting to hear a bang, but didn't happen. He then went silent. I figured his hen did the dirty with him. We stayed a bit, but he never fired back up.

Did see a few strutters with hens while driving, and some single hens.

For the amount of birds that were around me I only heard a couple gobble. They was tight lipped for sure but I got 3 toms curious enough to give one a face full of lead....

Ended up staying out till 3
I went back to where I had struck that one. Got him to gobble 2 more times but be was a good piece off and wasn't budging. Bumped a couple hens on the way down
Never found my face mask
Almost got eat by 2 Blue Racers. Man they're fast.
Maybe I can sneak off before church for a few. I'll have to get on with it lol.
